Evening all,
I'm looking to convert from shuttle to a M-ATX sugo based solution.

I'm basically looking at:

The TJ08 with a zalman 9500 cooler or similar

or

The SG03 with a NT06 Lite.

I'm looking to build a C2D rig, and hope to overclock aswell, so taking this into consideration which case/ cooler arrangement would you guys say would give the best performance/ value?

:p

Ninja is a superior cooler to the 9500, however because it's so big it means the HD cage is blocked (have to fit HD's elseware) I guess if you fit a smaller CPU cooler HD bays can be used

Haven't used the SG03

I am in the same boat, moving from an sb75g2. I am going for the SG03. I was thinking about the TJ08 as I was getting impatient waiting for the sg03 to make an appearance on the market (this week hopefully i've been told by 2 other etailers!) until I measured it up and to my horror it was the same size as my hp pc at work  which to my mind is not even close to what I would consider sff. I certainly could not live with something like that on my desk.
The sg03 on the other hand has exactly the same footprint as my existing shuttle, but twice as tall. :)

But can you fit a Ninja into a Sugo? No. Does the Sugo have dual 12cm case fans? No. Is the PSU off to one side? No. The TJ-08 isn't perfect, but I hate working in "cubes" even more cramped.

SG03 has PSU above motherboard which limits choice in CPU cooler. If you want silence or better cooling I think it makes sense to buy a case with option to go down that route later on, if you wish. I run stock 3700+ heatsink, then heatpipe stock cooler from 4400x2, then Ninja as even the noise from the 4400x2 cooler was annoying.

Unless you live in a cupboard I don't see the point of miniturisation, just shove it away someone and the few extra inches of a larger case really doesn't matter.

But that to me is the whole point of sff. A small, sexy case. I cant imagine anyone coming from a shuttle would be happy to have something of that size on their desks.

Why is a PC on your desk?
And you really think a PC/PC case is "sexy"?

Likewise, I can't imagine someone with a full tower ATX would be happy to work in a shuttle. :p

because it fits and looks fantastic. I have no need to hide it somewhere.

No, but the op is coming from a shuttle, as am I, so I am assuming that they also have a certain disdain for full sized pc's.
Anyway the op has 2 opinions now and this will hopefully guide them towards what suits them best :) (hint its the sg03 ;))

Must admit, I prefer the SFF side of things, mainly cause I'm at uni and lets face it, the rooms may aswell be "shoeboxes", hehe. Just wondering with the SG03 whether cooling will be enough with an NT06 arrangement and PSU fan to cool an overclocker processor... Hense why I'm leaning abit towards the TJ08 I suppose

Squiffy !! small=good :D
& Cant beat having a small pc on your desk tbh, the amount of times im messing about behind it with cables or taking the case off + easy optical drive access + VFD view and yes it looks pretty cool ... i could go on :)

Crash go for the SG03 its a new case & looks the nuts, if your looking at clocking id forget the NT06 and get a better cooler tho
Im Interested to see some SG03 builds :)
