Looking to update my aging Q6600 and was thinking about taking advantage of the Samsung green on today only. This will be placed in a Sugo SG01 along with a few ssd's and a 4890 i already have (upgrading graphics card at a later date)

Just wondering if this will work and hopefully allow a little overclock

Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £179.99
Gigabyte Z77M-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard £86.99
Samsung Green (MV-3V4G3D/US) 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz 30nm Dual Channel Kit £41.99
Silverstone SST-NT06-E CPU-Cooler £28.99

Total £338

Any advice welcome, willing to up budget to £400 if it's worthwhile

Thanks doomed, was the reason I picked it. The heatsink is cooled by the psu fan, which is why I'm not looking for a huge overclock. Stuck my 6600 on 3ghz day one and it's still running fine.

I have the vapour-x so it's almost silent on idle at about 55. Does get into the 80's under heavy load though!
