My monitor no longer powers on. I've opened it up to find a ceramic 5mm micro fuse has blown.

I've searched high and low and just can't find a replacement.

Does anyone know where i'd find one? Its a 5mm 2.5a ceramic micro fuse.

Thanks

it's the white fuse. The photo is deceptive, it's only 5mm in total length and about 1.5mm in width. It freeking tiny.

lol i'm not lying. It looks the same but it's not, it's miniature. Its from a HP W2207

It's seriously nowhere near 2cm (20mm) long.

I've had it in my hand and took it to a well known high-street electronic places that also sells PC components, but even the smallest they do is 10mm.

The fuse was soldered to the holder, one end of which fell off when i took the fuse off.

5x20mm is the size of a regular plug fuse. I'll have a look for it when i get back from work and take a pick with some reference.

Yes the connector on the left is a standard 3 pin power adaptor

Well i searched for HP w2207 and that's the pic that came up and from memory it seemed similar. They did release 2 updated models though.

No the fuse is not 10mm - the highstreet electrical components retailer i visited had 10mm fuses in and they were too large.

It's 5mm

Edit: or are you saying i'll get away with soldering a 10mm one in there? I would have thought the resistance would be different
