Hi All,
Currently I am running the beast of a case that is NZXT Phantom, which has been a great case for me and has run my setup perfectly for a couple of years now. The problem I am now facing is that the computer needs to move to smaller room and I cant have it dominating everything else.
So what I now need to do is rebuild into a smaller form factor but still keep my current graphics card and hopefully allow for graphics card upgrade in the future. The main uses for the machine will be gaming, and running virtual machines for a lab environment. Im trying to keep my budget in the £400 to £500 range although the lower the better
I currently have Monitor, Peripherals, SSD, HDD, OS and Graphics Card
I don't need a DVD drive either
What I'm looking for is a nice case, although not too expensive as I would rather spend a little extra on the CPU/Mobo etc.
Motherboard
CPU
At least 16GB of memory potentially upgradable to 32GB in the future so that I can run multiple VMs as part of a lab environment
CPU Cooler
Fully modular PSU that will run a GTX970 or other cards in the future
connectivity for one SSD and a sata 3.5 HDD
I also have a PCI 4 port USB3 expansion card that will need to be fitted.
I think that's about it? Been awhile since I specced myself anything and I seem to keep creeping up on the price so I could do with a good base spec to work with.
Finally I've built a number of machines in the past so I pretty good at putting things to together
Thanks for the help in advance
