micro sd card "locked"

bought the misses a samsung u600 along with a 2gb ms-d card, a have a problem in that i cant write to the card, when i put it int my card readre it says its locked, when i connect the pc to the phone i cant transfer files that way either, im truely stumped, ant advise would be greatly appreciated

Are you using an sd adapter?

tried using that and connecting the phone direct to the pc, always the same

ps the adaptor is un an unlocked position

yip, cant do that coz its locked
