Hi guys. I upgraded today from my old Samsung S7 Edge to a white S21 FE 5G. As it's USB-C for charging, I need three adapters for three different micro USB cables that I charge from. This pack of four adapters will do fine but I'm wondering if the fast charge would be affected by the adapter or if I can expect the same fast charge speed?

Dare I ask why you don't buy new cables rather than adapters? Surely the cost is fairly similar?

E; ok so the cost isn't as similar as I thought!

Yep, it's only £3.99 for a pack of four adapters to take care of all my cables. As long as the fast charging isn't affected by the cables going through the adapters.

So I'm looking for 2 x 1m fast charge USB A to USB C cables. I've looked at tons of fast charge cables on Amazon and ebay and can't find a single one where somebody doesn't say it's slow and not actually fast charge. I was considering the Anker Powerline which is £7.99 + shipping on Amazon, but before I buy, can anyone suggest anything slightly cheaper that is actually fast charge, reliable and durable?

S21 relies on the power delivery PD standard for fast charging. Specifically PD-PPS.

Grab the 25W Samsung charger USB-C and a coupe of decent 3A cables.

USB A to C cables won't do for PD charging, needs to be C to C.

UGREEN 25W USB C Charger Plug with USB C Cable Fast PD Type C Power Adapter Compatible with Samsung S22/S21/S20/Note20/Note10/S9/S8/A53/A52s, iPad Pro Air, iPad Mini etc. https://amzn.eu/d/9rvdUjA

This is usually a little cheaper but if you want it now it'll do.

Thanks kona. Don't get me wrong, I totally trust everything you've detailed and that does look like the best option. That said, I would need two of them which is quite expensive at £40.

Last night I found a short 35 cm USB A to USB C cable which I tried with both of my older white travel adapter Samsung fast charge wall plugs (from my S7 Edge), and the S21 received fast charging and didn't take long to fully charge. Also, one of the 1 metre cables I want is to be used in the car, plugged into a QC 3.0 socket of a device that I used to quick charge my S7 Edge with, so I couldn't use the 25w charger in the car anyway. So it seems that a couple of decent fast charge cables should do the trick and cost less. But I don't know which ones other than perhaps Anker Powerline or a ugreen cable.

Ah ok. There's the older fast charge and there's Samsung's more recent super fast charge which is 25W vs the 15W your getting with USB A. I forgot that Samsung still supports this.

Upto you which one your happy with. Yes I have yet to come across a dodgy cable tbh. A branded one will definitely work.

Yeah, I guess the 25w charges even faster and at some point I'll probably invest in one.

So, I can buy this one which I'd have thought would fast charge as I have a couple of red Anker micro usb powerline cables and they're very good. Then again, there's mixed reviews on this cable. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-Powe...5343042&sprefix=anker+1m+,aps,173&sr=8-5&th=1

Or this one possibly, a 3 pack, with again, mixed reviews. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Charger-Ch...d=1655372866&sprefix=1m+,aps,263&sr=8-11&th=1

Maybe I should just buy any one and if it doesn't fast charge, send it back?

Ordered! Thanks matey, that's the only cable where all the reviews are glowing and no one says it slow charges! Pity it's 1m and 2m instead of 2 x 1m as I don't need the extra metre length but certainly wasn't a deal breaker. Arriving saturday and cost £7.99 (including £2.99 p&p) but it's still cheap enough and my gift tokens took care of it.
Now, can I possibly call on your help in my other thread about buying a decent case where the screen won't get damaged if I drop the phone. :)

No worries. I'm not good with wallet style cases. If you're prone to drops then I would recommend a glass screen protector even with a case.

Was it you I helped out with Bluetooth audio on the TV. How you getting on with that.

Ah, so a screen protector is needed then. I wasn't sure as I thought screen glass got stronger and that people weren't using protectors these days but obviously they are. I used to hate putting on the thin film ones and trying to get air bubbles out. Is there a good easy to install glass protector I should get?

Yes, I believe it was you that helped me with the bluetooth audio. In the end I returned the transmitter as the sync was crap. I bought a 32" LG smart tv, and an Amazon Firestick that you or someone else recommended, and have perfect sync with both my wireless buds. Watching freeview it's perfect although BBC 1 can sometimes be ever so slightly off, and no problems at all with the Firestick. And the ever so occassional time I've needed to use the sync adjuster on the Firestick, it nails it everytime.
