What's the current 'state of the art' in inline ADSL microfilters? My filters are decent quality original BT type, and I have an NTE5 on the master socket, but I want to see if there's anything better.

No competitor names/links please.

Not sure if they are or not.

Must admit, I looked at the XTE-2005, but my NTE5 has an RJ45 connector for the modem side and I can't tell what the XTE uses.

Edit: RJ11 :(

It's normally an RJ11-RJ11 cable, from router to filtered faceplate.
Nope - it's absolutely definitely RJ45 at the NTE5 end. I do know the difference. :)

I was a very early adopter of broadband if that makes any difference (back in the days of engineer install only).

It's all as you suggest, but the ADSL port is wired to an extension socket in another room, and the extension cable has an RJ45 on the end. I really don't fancy even trying to change that. The other end of the extension does take an RJ11.

No idea why BT did it that way, but they did.
