I have a pair of Solo 6C's and was wondering if I can buy more speakers or a sub to add to theses speakers? For instance could I add a sub and make a 2.1 setup?

Sorry no sound / music hi-fi knowledge complete noob to this and got theses after a lot of people recommended them :-)

thanks

You can add a subwoofer, but not to the speakers directly, as they have no subwoofer connection. The only way you can do it is to split the connection coming from the stereo output and connect a subwoofer to that. The subwoofer's volume will need to be controlled independently to the speaker volume, if controlling the volume on the speakers themselves. If this is for PC use, then you can just control both with the Windows volume control.

thanks, I'll start looking around then at a sub, I'll probs control it all from the PC so that's not an issue cheers!

What's your budget for a sub? The Wharfedale SW150 is a good starting point. Also I believe they have come down in price recently, so wouldn't be a bad idea to grab one while stock lasts!

Thanks for your suggestion!
First I would like to try my speakers, maybe the bass are enough for me.
But I'm considering to add a subwoofer in the future...
How can I connect it to my Solo 6C and to my Sound Blaster Z?

The frequency response of the Solo 6C goes down to 50Hz, so the bass may sound deep enough for your use even if without a subwoofer (though having one would certain improve it further).

For connecting the Solo6C, you just need to connect the provided RCA to 3.5mm cable from the speaker's RCA to the soundcard's front audio jack (though if you are picky, you can replace the stock cable with something better i.e. thicker RCA to 3.5mm cable).

Sorry, I meant how can I connect the speaker if I add the subwoofer :)
By the way, I saw many videos on Youtube and it seems that they have great bass, and I have a little room...I will receive the speaker soon and I will try them :)
