Well...with this week only discount to £69.98, and a £5 off discount, I would be able to get the MicroLab SOLO6C for just £64.98. But would it be the right speakers for me? I'm still very interested in Edifier R1600T, but with the MicroLab SOLO6C at this kind of price is very tempting as well.

My £5 off discount would expire tonight, so I'd need to decide quick. Also considering if I should stretch my budget for the Aego M 2.1.

The use of the speakers is mainly for gaming and watching videos/movies.

Hard to say, not enough user reviews of the Microlab's to form an opinion on which would be better. They have 6.5" woofers, which will be better for lower frequencies, but they are the same price as the Edifier's, which have 5" woofers. Any speakers with larger woofers, should cost more, if they are to be of similar sound quality to smaller ones.

A few people who have had both the Aego's and Edifier's, say the Edifier's sound better for music, albeit with less bass. Although, someone else who has had both, thought the Aego's were better. Down to personal taste really.

Aego's will obviously appeal to fans of bass more than the Edifier's, and will probably be better for gaming/movies.

I have the Microlabs and although I have nothing to compare them to because they are my first pair of speakers, I have to say they blew my mind, they're amazing, the person above is right they are tremendous for bass, they make my windows shake if I turn them up loud enough, but not just bass, they're good for mids + highs. So I can recommend them, but like I say I'm not an expert on speakers.
