So where?
Hi people,

Been looking into these speakers as my current set are being handed down to a family member.

Anyone run these, thoughts on them?

I appreciate it's subjective regarding sonic. However, build quality, etc.. ?

I listened to a very eclectic range of music, Rock to classical and everything else.

I have a ASUS gene v, is the inboard sound hip gonna do them justice, or should I consider a sound card too?

Thanks for any advice

They're made in China and the amplifier in the first pair was faulty.
They're fine to plug into a TV but there's noticeable distortion when connected to a soundcard.

Distortion, isn't something I nor anyone wants.

Should I be looking at the AE energy's?

Being made in China is not necessarily a bad thing these days. And you said yourself the distortion is from your soundcard. I've heard good things about these speakers (as far as budget speakers go) but not tested myself.

A soundcard. Your grasp of basic English comprehension is weak.:o
There is noticeable distortion as you raise the volume and almost no frequency response below 50hz.

Hi all, thanks for the replies.

I haven't any ceiling on a budget. (If the quality shows )
Approx £100-200

I did watch TTL review on the micro lab, and he enthused about them.

Like TTL I have never really been sold on 5.1, so would prefer to stick to the 2.0 or 2.1 systems.

Oh and I listen to my music LOUD!!
Queens of the Stone Age has to be listened to loud IMHO.
