Has anyone ever purchased Exhausts from the company micron for there motorbike ever before. I ask this becuase i just took delivery of my micron cans for my Fz6. They are stainless E marked cans with Removable baffles. When i took them out of the box the only marking on it was the E mark. I would have thought they would have a badge on them to show what kind of exhausts i had on. All i got in the box was some stickers but i hardly think they are for the exhaust, from experience Stickers do not like heat....
I have emailed micron but i think i missed them by 6.30pm.

Has anyone else had this problem before?

They're probably heat resistant stickers as said above. My FMF tailpipe came with stickers on, they stayed on fine, and 4 stroke MX bike pipes get hot as ****. (as in I've seen manifolds glow sort of hot)

Ahhh, the marvelous Micron exhaust.

FS1E + Microns = Zzzzzzing-a-ding ding, zinga dinga zinga ding ding

Memories of my youth!

cant beat a 350LC with a set of Allspeeds though.
If you were really rich, then it was a set of Gibson pipes.

Back on topic.
I bought a full system many many moons ago for my CBR600. The end can was just stamped with the required BS marking.

Akrapovic exhausts only come with a sticker on too. Stickers are lighter than a metal badge that is rivetted on :D

my granda had the 350lc, he always refered to it as the widow maker, he nearly got whiped out a few times then took it off the road as it scared him and bought 2 650cc hondas, which in turn my dad bought the lc off him, sold it for £1750 last year. mmmm power valve! boy that bike was quick, been on the back of it a few times, he would never let me ride it :( the smell of the 2 stroke was lush!

My Carbon Can Company can came with a sticker which I put on it, had no problems with it peeling off or anything, and I think now its been down the road a bit and its still in place, just be careful not to get grit on it before you stick it to the can as that is what causes problems after a few months of heating up and cooling down, mind you with the baffle out the cans dont really get that hot!

Most Microns do only come with stickers, as long as there is baffle material in the exhaust then the stickers don't melt. I lost half the wadding on the cbr600 race bike and the sticker bubbled a bit and made a bit of a mess on my titanium exhaust :)

I had allspeeds on my 350LC too, wicked sounding pipes :D

Mine was a Beeline

Had the front tyre explode on me at 75mph, wasnt pretty... bike was well fast tho, did some nice power wheelies..

There was virtually none (okay about 1/3d) of the disk valve left after I had finished porting it, Tillotson carb, ported barrel... was a great bike

:D

Some exhaust stickers are heat resistant, usually some form of teflon

Had a straight thru Micron on a GSXR 750 SRAD, after long journeys the can was not hot.....

Standard cans get real hot due to the baffle etc.

I got an email off micron saying that all there cans come with badges. They then told me that they were going to be sending me some proper badges, Dont know how i am going to fit these badges if they are like every other micron can and with the Rivets. But those stickers are like a thin metal material so maybe they were designed for the cans.

I've got an FZ6, can you please record the sound before and after.... please... :D

Also, need pics (not that you will be able to see much of them due to them being under-seat).

Cheers. :D

With the stock exhaust it sounds a bit lifeless if you just rev it while it's on the side-stand. It sounds far better if you're pootling along at about 30mph in 2nd, then just pin it. Initially it sounds a bit weak and farty, then you get some induction noise at mid revs, then it turns quite suddenly into quite a nice wail at about 11k to the redline. It's much nicer under load than when in neutral. Pity you can't do a comparison with and without the Micro whilst on the move.
