Microphone issue Windows 7

I made a thread back in march about my mic in W7 being REALLY QUIET and no one being able to hear me dispite enabling boost and all other options that would increase the mic level.

I managed to fix it by disabling/enabling my speakers in the playback devices but after getting an ssd and installing windows onto it I get the same problem and cannot fix with above method.

Its nothing to do with my hardware its a windows 7 bug I am certain of that, everything worked fine in vista.

Please help me this completly ruins my gaming experiance.

i have the same problem and the only voip program that seems to work is mumble , maybe its something to do with the audio drivers ?

Yeah, its software related I have tried reinstalling my sound card drivers with no effect.

Just tried mumble and its also very quiet for me.

Anyone have any idea what the **** is causing this issue, theres a lot of people with the problem why are microsoft doing nothing, I have read threads on the same issue from years ago.
