Hello All, First post here as I have an issue that is literally driving me crazy.
I just bought a ASUS ROG G751JY-T7192H - 17.3" FHD IPS LED / i7-4870HQ / Nvidia GTX980M 4G / 32G / 1TB 7200 + 512G PCI-E SSD / BD Read / Win 8.1 64B and after setting it up I plugged my headset in.
Realtek audio HD pops up like my PC at home and confirms I want to plug my headset in. I set my mic up, all good to go.
Then I noticed people couldn't hear me.
Control Panel > Sound > Recording > select microphone > Properties > Levels (tab)
I can visually see the sound level of my microphone muting. I change the level and it auto mutes. It is driving me nuts!!
I have uninstalled drivers, realtek audio, tried different headsets, used no headset. It keeps doing it.
I have already made sure the "allow other programs to take control" (Or words to that affect) is unchecked.
I can see others have simillar issues, if you google it others suffer but no fix as yet?!
I am suspecting it is RealTek Audio which looks like the cheapest piece of crappy software I have ever seen. For a £2k laptop I am really disappointing.
Has anyone got an experience of this? Any ideas?
Thanks for your Help!
