my phone manual says it can take a 16gb sd card, does this mean that 16GB is the maximum capacity as since the phone came out 32GB sd cards have become available

If its a X10, then it accepts a 32Gb card.

The X10 was developed before 32Gb cards were released. People have confirmed 32Gb cards work in the X10
