Any idea how long these last? Am thinking of getting some software on the cheap thru the academic licensing but I'm sure that once you finish in education you are supposed to buy full price or uninstall the software or summit along those lines.

Can anyone clarify?

As far as I am aware the software purchased via the educational Volume Licensing schemes (Campus Agreement, School Agreement) are licensed as long as you are a member of the organization that it was obtained through and only valid if they keep up their annual subscription

The Student teacher versions do not expire and you can keep using these even if you leave education (For non commercial use). Also if you purchase vis Student Select (Uni) again the software is yours for life

Hope this helps

What licence agreement are we talking about? It varies, for example a school agreement is a subscription service, so your licenced for as long as the agreement is paid for. MSDN:AA licences are different being perpetual.
