Microsoft apps and Samsung (?) - Issues

I still don't think there's a proper explanation as to what's actually happening?

Issues with Microsoft apps after April 2026 security update

I have an s25 ultra and after the April 2026 security patch MS Teams and MS authenticator will work fine and then all the sudden they stop. I can open teams but everyone's status goes away and if I IM someone it just sits there sending. Also when that happens I stop getting notifications from MS...

I've spent all week with no working outlook emails, authenticator or Onedrive access on my Samsung phone. No one at Samsung or Microsoft seem to care. It's wild.

This morning I just wiped the storage caches of all Microsoft apps first then unstalled them. After a reinstall (I used the Samsung store) and logging back in they are working again.

Fingers crossed, it doesn't seem like any fix is going to be pushed so best try and do it yourself.

I did have this issue but seemed to sort itself out once I cleared the cache of the apps and restarted the phone. It's something to do with the latest update.

I'm at a loss. I've had no issues with Outlook, yet people running the same version of Outlook as me have had issues.

Just seems totally random?

Today's outlook issues probably haven't helped either!

Just wondering what version of the play store are you on? After the Samsung latest update, (Galaxy Ultra 24 btw) I went to the settings and checked the software. My play store has been stuck on July 2025 for ages. Clicked and there was an update at last to March 2026. That's one thing different I did.

Tbh, I've not had issues - yet. Here's my setup.
