Microsoft cans Mac Messenger

I'm pleased with Adium so far - will be even more pleased when Audio/Video is supported soon~

Unless Microsoft can provide something really exclusive / better, I'll stick with Adium :)

I use amsn but there is an issue with webcams on macbooks where the person at the other end just gets a white screen. It works on mercury but it's not a very nice client overall.

I dont know why but Adium just annoyed me from the get go. Just little things from the icon to the sound effects. I spent a while configuring it but gave up because it was still annoying me and went back to MSN.

I tried, I wish I liked it, but I dont. :)

I only use MSN, so I see no need to use anything other than the MS client. It's served me well so far, I have no need for webcam support, I don't think I've ever used the camera on my MacBook.

Let's hope the new client is a step up, Remote Assistance support for Windows clients would be nice but probably won't happen.

In the same boat as me then!

When I heard this I actually downloaded Adium again, trying to convince myself it's better... and instantly remembered why I abandoned it in the first place.

The new MSN client will be multi-protocol, and hopefully support the iSight.. so I'll just keep using the Microsoft client now until something emerges.

All my contacts are on MSN, so I don't need anything more really..

I wouldn't mind the video chat addition.. but I wouldn't lose sleep if they're slow to add it as I never used it on Windows when it was available :)

I just think it would be better to have it and not use it, than want it and not being able to use it.
