How have Microsoft got away with this?
You always used to have 15gb of email storage for your Outlook account. This is still the case...but in actual fact all attachments are now taken as part of your OneDrive 5gb allocation, so it is not the case at all.
This has hit my wife hard as all of a sudden she is several GB OVER the onedrive allocation and can no longer send emails with attachments. However, she is several GB UNDER the total email allocation (which still includes attachments....)
So basically, they are now saying. "Sorry, if you want to be able to continue to use your email address that you have had with us for over a decade, you have to spend days deleting most of your stuff"
I know its a free account, but its filled with ads now, and Microsoft are already worth an absurd amount of money.
Essentially they are just trying to force peopl's hand to give them £20 a year.
These greedy **** need a reckoning.
