Hey everyone, I'm currently studying towards taking an exam on the 70-270 course based on Windows XP Professional.

I have the official text book from Microsoft to go with the course, but I also have the Exam Cram 2 book relating to the course.

I'm trying to knuckle down with the revising but I cant yet as I really don't know the best book to make notes from and revise from. I've only revised the first chapter from the Microsoft text book, which is easy to make notes from but I've heard good things about the Exam Cram 2 book.

Has anyone taken this exam and if so, what methods of revising did you have success with?

Its not that difficult if you use the software.

If you do then I would imagine you would pass using an exam cram.

I passed all my exams (most of NT MCSE, 2000 MCSE and 2003 upgrade plus a few others) using just exams crams and a few CBT's when I did Exchange and SQL.

If you use and know your way around supporting XP there's no real need for all the books. XP is a cinch compared to some of the other MCSE track stuff like SMS!

Work booked me on the XP course and we just messed around for three days. By far the most useful thing I learned from the instructor was that 1) he's written three VW Golf VR6s off and 2) someone has made an Ivor the engine mod for MS Train Sim.

It's the by far the easiest exam in the any MCSE/MCSA/MCP certification route. If you need to cram for this one, give up, it's simply not worth bothering with.
