Microsoft exams

You done the exam yet Beerbaron?

Out of interest, has anyone here done the 70-682 exam?
I was going to look into it way back in the year but (as happens so often) got sidetracked...

I've still only got experience of XP/2003 exams so am unsure of the format for the new ones.
Just wanted to get some opinions really. I'd like to get this out of the way by the end of the year, just to have a bit of paper that says "I'm not a complete moron with Windows 7..." :D
Whilst experience is all well and good, we all know that employers like bits of paper as well!

just done 70-680 which I think may be similar to 70-682. It was quite an easy exam tbh. Gave a good introduction into W7 deployment and a lot of the new features. If you're familiar with XP then you shouldn't have any issues with it at all :)

no, the 70-272 exam is at the end of this month. needed more time to prepare for this exam with working, dissertation and revision keeping me busy.

After having my last exam date moved due to maintenance at the test centre i finally sat my 70-272 exam today. I only went and got 1000/1000 :D The chap at the test centre looked a bit surprised and said no one has ever got that here before (small and new test centre). He asked me twice during our conversation if i had cheated, it sounded like he was saying it in a joking way but still wasnt nice to be asked :(

For any exams I can recommend the CBT nuggets. Basically it's like going on a course only without the interaction and no annoying nerd next to you who thinks he knows more than Bill Gates.

I passed my 70-647 today - officially an MCITP EA :)

Cha ching!

Worthy, how many qualifications did you have to pass to become MCITP and what was the total cost, because I have been searching for days to find a cheap route! but companys have been saying 1500-3500 pounds to get MCITP certified :( and I really struggling to get the money together :(

MCITP EA is 5 exams, £88 an exam but there is some offer on at the moment a chap at work was telling me about where you get a discount when buying 5 exams, plus a free retake for each.

SA is 'only' 3 exams.

Then there's all the other MCITP certifications, depends which one you want really :)

All the desktop support ones look to be 2 exams.

Companies like QA will do you say 10 days MS training for a grand or so, maybe more days if you push them. Generally a single MS course is usually 5 days, with accelerated learning ones (like at boot camps) obviously condensing this. For instance a friend did the EA bootcamp, that was 13 days straight at the training centre with long long days, not my cup of tea!

Nicely done on the exams, I've done 290, 291 and 680, preparing for 236 at the mo, then onto 293 and 294 :)

Anyone got any good study tips, I seem to do ok creating a lab and having a play as well as using the CBT nuggets stuff where applicable, but wondering if Im missing a trick somewhere :)
