Hi there,

I'm thinking of buying this mouse but I'm aware that there are issues with the current drivers and software. There are a number of fixes posted around thhe Web to resolve these but I'm not sure that I can be bothered with fixes unless the Habu is an excellent mouse in use.

I'd welcome any comments from happy or unhappy Habu owners.

Thanks for your attention.

If you're after a HABU then you might want to consider the Razer Deathadder, its supposed to be a revamped version of the HABU with a better optical sensor. Many reviews call it the best mouse out atm, you can get them for like £35-40 delivered if you shop around.

Thanks for the suggestion. Having read a few reviews I'm going buy the Death Adder. However, the name "Death Adder" had rather put me off looking at this mouse in the first place.

the above article raises a lot of questions about laser mice with the overall winners being optical mice.

the DA does have an awful name granted - but performance wise it is superb.

important thing for it is to make sure of 2 things.

you plug it into a usb port direct off the mobo and you use the razer driver 1.05b.

I didn't flash mine to the 1.10 firmware - a lot of people have experienced problems with it.
