Microsoft has locked my email address?

Got a message on my iphone that it had trouble syncing to my email earlier on today but didn't think much of it. Now i'm home i cant seem to access my hotmail address and the reason being is that they have locked my account? I rarely send emails from this account so I see no reason for it to be locked. Has this happened to anyone else?

i had one locked a while back , i think i went through forgot password scenario and answered security questions. After checking previous log ins it turned out attempts were made from china,ukraine and bulgaria 120 attempts in the space of 5 days.

I can't seem to even get to that stage. Just says i need to fill in contact form.
