Microsoft Hd-3000 Webcam (help)

I can't for the life of me get this webcam to ignore the onboard microphone that it has so that i can use my headphone and microphone jack headset to provide the voice audio.

I have an antec 900 case and onboard realtek hd sound and i use the top audio jacks on the case to plug in my headset when gaming/skype. and speakers when not (connected to the back) ports.

Using Windows Vista 32bit

The headset is a (Tt eSPORTS Shock Gaming Headset)

What do you have under 'Recording Devices'? in the Volume Mixer?

I will try muting the webcams mic from the volume mixer when i get home, the lifecam audio software is poor at best

Maybe it just doesnt stick when i do it there.
