Microsoft have released V2.0 of ICE (Image Composite Editor).

For those that haven't used it, it can stitch a series of photographs together to make a large panorama.

The new version also allows you to make Panoramas from Video, along with creating spherical 'little world' images as well.

Lastly unlike the old version it also fills in gaps and missing areas of your panorama, a bit like Adobe content aware fill.

You can find the downloads for 32bit and 64bit Windows at

Really nice free bit of software.

If you've got the original version, when you open it up it'll ask if you want to automatically install it. I downloaded it yesterday as I was doing a pano of Falkirk's stadium when i was there on Saturday. :)

I mentioned it in my thread after I tried it and it seems pretty good.

There's promo video which shows what it can do:

Obviously the feature that fills in the rough edges of the stitched image isn't magical so it won't draw a new building in for you but it's quite good :) Small download too.

I loved the original ICE as I could just sling a load of RAWs at it and let it do its work. Time to have a play with some new pano's I've just taken.
