Microsoft Money equivalent

Hi all

My dad has recently got an iMac and is loving it except for one thing. He used to keep his finances in check with Microsoft Money and it was one of the main uses of his PC, however, there isn't anything out there that he can see that is the same

He's hopeless with setting up databases and spreadsheets, so it needs to be something with a similar interface to Money.

He did say something about Quicken, but that looks like it's been discontinued now :(

Any suggestions would be great

Thanks all

Unfortunately I'm in the same boat. I switched to OSX about 18 months ago and yet I *still* use MSMoney via Parallels. I've yet to find a reasonable native OSX equivalent :(

Mind you, I've been using MSMoney since the mid-90s so that's probably half the problem.

Not much help (sorry), but I'll be watching this thread with interest.

I tried quicken and it was funking awful, very cludgy.

Good luck is my first (though not very helpful) answer.

I was highly disappointed with iBank. The minute I had any reasonable number of transactions in it, it slowed to a crawl. Admittedly I've got a 1.33Ghz G4 Powerbook, but there's still no excuse for it being so dog slow. I'm now using Moneydance, which is cross-platform and a decent effort (though reporting isn't its strong point). Not too complicated, and gets the job done.
