My wireless laser mouse 8000 is playing up and I would like to RMA it to Microsoft. Simples right? Well it was years ago when they replaced my V3 for me. 1x 5 minute phone call.... Sorted.

This morning I spent over an hour on the phone to Microsoft in India
Im a UK southerner, no thick accent and the trouble I had relaying the situation was unreal. I asked 3 separate people (thats 3 seperate calls) to transfer me to someone else (they all refused) because they were simply not taking in simple details like my name! Preferring instead to whittle off what ever words and letters first pop into their heads. It was so ridiculous I started to think they were playing on it.

Anyways, can someone give me a number where I can speak to someone competent to deal with this please? Preferably fluent in English (left myself wide open for the spelling/grammar police there :D )

Thanking you please ;)

EDIT: the number I called was 0844 800 2400

I used the link above to rma a broken x5 mouse (middle button broken). Got a reply within a day or two saying it's being processed and another email later that day to ask which mouse I'd like as the x5 was not available. Requested the wireless version (x8) and they sent it out the next day.

Once you get the rma going hopefully you'll get good service like I did.
