if i bought this from overclockers (i know its currently out of stock) do i need to be a student to use it?
would i have to enter a student number to activate it ? lol

noob question i know

I am fairly sure you need to prove you are a student. Ring the shop or use their Webnote system and ask to be on the safe side.

I never noticed that before. Office 2003 was the "Student & Teacher Edition" and 2007 is now "Home & Student"

I guess the answer is whether you want to be properly licensed rather than just have the software "work". The criteria is quite wide afaik including having kids at school

I'm pretty sure the clue is in the product name, i.e. home. I'm using it on three home machines.

Home use is fine, it just says on the top of the app that it isnt licensed for commercial use.

Sounds fine. Worth mentioning that 2010 is out later this year though, but it probably won't be as cheap as that.
