Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 archiving

I have the following archive settings on both my deleted items folder and junk email folder:

And these general auto archive settings:

However for some reason there are still files in my deleted items folder and junk email folder that are a lot older than 1 day old.

Any ideas why it's not archiving correctly?

if you have flagged them they will not archive, other than that not sure. Do they archive if you do it manually (File->Archive)

Nope, they're not archiving manually either.

I've only just turned on archive for this install of Vista so there are a lot of emails older than one day. Outlook is possibly only archiving emails that are literally 1 day old rather than 1 day old and older.

I've manually archived them myself, hopefully it will keep up this time.
