University students can get Office Ultimate 2007 for £38.95 if you hold a valid University E-Mail address ending in .ac.uk / ac.im / ac.gg / ac.jj

I think I may get it as I'm on Office 2003 at the minute, even if I don't use it straight away, its worth having when I decide to change instead of paying the full amount!

:)

Yes this is a good deal. I got this late last year. A good way to get legal Office 2007 for cheap. :)

There is also a £12.95 offer for a one year licence I think? £12.95 for a year and £38.95 for a lifetime licence (at least until you want the next version of Office :p), I know what makes more sense. :)

Was a little bit annoyed when this came out late last year; had already bought Office 2007 Home & Student earlier in the year for double the price! Still worth the money though and was grateful to have it early on, so I'm not complaining. It's a fantastic office package.

I think this rules out OU students.

If you are a Higher Education student, you must be enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate level course If you are a Further Education student, you must have at least 15 hours of scheduled contact time for your course

Ah. :D A fair proportion of OU students will be on the UG/PG courses though? Just a small percentage on courses that aren't UG/PG?

The OU is not on the list of selectable Uni's for that offer.
Have you got an NUS card? I've been told that clicking Europe (on the map) and then entering your NUS card number with an S at the beginning gets you in. ;)

Definitely worth the money, I couldn't live without Outlook now. Not looking forward to the day I have to pay full price for it all.

No but I do have a student number. It doesn't really matter I was just after a freebie !

There's a similar Home Use program for people who work in the NHS (needs nhs.uk / nhs.net e-mail addy) - details here. I got Office 2007 Enterprise for ~£19.

My college was advertising this a while ago. Bought it straight away as i couldn't believe the price! Excellent deal.
