So the last version of Office which Im using is Office 2010, which has done me very well.

However I can see the new version of Office (365) Am I right in understanding the business model for Office is now subscription based?

Is there no free version for example? Or an offline "one off payment" version?

I see I thought 2013 was mac only.
But the latest version is the sub based one? Is this the business model which Microsoft are now using for the latest version of office?

I have the Office 2010 Professional edition (Academic edition I think it is), for when I was doing my MBA. Think I will continue to use that as it really is a fabulous suite and cant envisage how much more improvements there are in the newer office revisions.
