hi quick question.

At work I use the desktop version of Microsoft outlook.

On my iPhone I have outlook.

These are just used for work emails and calendar.

On the desktop version I know you can make folders within outlook and then drag emails from specific people / departments into them.

But I do not think you can do that with the iOS app version?

If I make folders and put emails into the corresponding folders would it then mess anything up on my phone version?

Thanks

( it would certainly help tidy things up )

Can add folders on pc and they will appear on the IOS app too, only thing you may need to do is check your sync settings as I don't know if it will sync contents by default.

You can move email on IOS app by long pressing on the message and using the middle option at the bottom (folder with arrow). This also lets you move multiple messages.

You should be able to create new folders in the iOS Outlook app, when you open and email to move it, on the Move Conversation window there is a button to add a new folder.

Any changes you make in desktop Outlook should be reflected in iOS app assuming your connecting to Exchange, though don't think you can create mail rules on the iOS version
