I really can not get my head round this and was hoping that someone would be able to help me. I am having this problem with Outlook Meeting responses. I will try and explain what I think is happening and hopefully someone will be able to assist me.

Our receptionist is putting meetings in staff member's diaries on behalf of the boss. The problem is that I appear to be getting everyone’s meeting responses even if I am not involved. i.e when someone from another team accepts a meeting I get it also.

The message says Received for the Boss and colleague accepted.

This is starting to get really annoying as you can imagine we have currently got 50 employees and I appear to be getting all there meeting response so please can anyone help me.

It could be that they have you as a delegate in their mailbox and they have enabled the "delegates receive copies of my meeting related messages" option.

To check this go to a machine that belongs to someone who's meeting messages you are getting, go to tools --> options --> delegates --> see if you're in here as a delagate, if you are then you should be able to edit the options, uncheck the option to receive the meeting related messages.

In my opinion mailbox permissions are better than delegation for most things :)
