Initially I thought somebody had nicked my email addy and was using it to send me loads of spam. I therefore installed Spamfighter to deal with. However, on looking in my mail sent folder, it seems something has completely hijcked Outlook and is using the program to send out emails without my consent? Nothing seems to prevent it. All I get is a message from vista's Defender telling me something has made an unortharised change 5 or 10 minutes after I have logged on to my mail and closed it down. Any ideas?

Edit: Forgot to mention no viruses detected or adware using Avast and AVG

If you have a router, you can try the steps mentioned in this PCW magazine article. It's a lengthy read, but interesting.

This isn't the same, as the article was trying to find out which PC was responsible. But in your case it prevents more mail being sent until you can find the cause. It also mentions the PC that was responsible had update virus checker. So not a clear cut answer.
