Hello every one I need your advice, opinions and suggestions.

My office will be experiencing an influx of new staff joining our team and taking up workstations that have been vacated by former colleagues. The office administrator is having issues changing the email accounts of former colleagues to accomodate the new members of staff (this is because the passwords needed to change these is with an individual that helped us set up the system initially but we have been unable to contact him since).

I went to Outlook > Tools > Email Accounts

then:

View or modify existing accounts > next > change (selected user in the email account box)

Now in the details of the user I have selected I suspect that I could change the name of the existing user information whilst leaving the logon information unchanged. Although I am yet to carry out this theory; I thought I'd ask you guys if anyone knows if this idea will work, in other words:

If I change the user information from: bob Engineering (name)
[email protected]

to: Stan Accounting (new name)
[email protected]

When the Logon information is still: Bob.Engineering (Logon user name)
************ (Unknown logon password)

Will this change work? will I succeed in changing the email name from bob to stan's?

Just thought I'd ask you Gurus before I screw up an email account and get executed for said folly ^^

I'd appreciate every suggestion.
