I've decided to ditch MSE on my machine and just run this weekly

It uses the same data set, need to download a new version each week as there's no 'Update' feature

I just started using MSE and noticed it really slowed backups down by about half with my external drive, im unsure if i should use it or go back to avast, or if real time protection is really needed most of the time?

I'd rather just use an active AV and not have to bother...

I haven't noticed MSE slowing down my PC but that may be due to me using it since the fresh install of Windows on this SSD.

I've just installed Panda Cloud on my netbook, seems to be really light.

I have a strict weekly maintenance schedule anyway so ditching MSE and using this would be quite beneficial.

Looks very handy, especially if fixing a PC with a disabled/absent resident scanner.

This may solve your problem with the download in FF / IE9 from the other thread but I wouldn't wanna go dead naked.

Well VM have a new firmware out for teh router so let me see if it is that
