Microsoft Security Essentials bug finding, someone confirm this?

I have IE9, Chrome 12 and FF4, issue exists in IE9 and FF but not Chrome, this is on all 3 machines.

First test i will d is the simplest, update MSE then retest, if it still exists, try 3G to eliminate the connection. If still nothing then switch to AVAST again I guess ¬_¬

That is indeed the question!

I think Chrome has all its security built in.

The plot thickens :O

The VM forums made me laugh a few times, best solution? Turn it off and on again :D

Almost as great as my manager's phone call to VM to help resolve an issue where the lady said to turn the router off for 3 hours a day as they need to cool down o.0

Update:

With HSDPA tethered from my phone AND with MSE running as normal I don't get corrupt downloads. It only happens when connected via the SuperHub. It's worth noting my SuperHub is currently set up to be a modem only via a workaround so whether you're using the hub as a router or not, the issue still persists.

I've not been accepted on to the R26 firmware that is said to fix this issue yet but hopefully tomorrow....this is definitely a SuperHub issue and MSE is just getting confused at the data packets along the line and thinking the DL is done and begin scanning which causes the corruption I bet.

VM have said they want to release the firmware fully by next week so even if I don't get in to the BETA test of R26 I should hopefully have the final on the SuperHub on R26 final next week.

All this faff when they could have just kept a modem only option for those with routers of their own....Ffffuuuuuuuuu!

I bet it's something to do with connection rate / Virgin Media.

You did fill in the survey thing they linked to right? I got the new firmware fairly quickly. Though I went from 20 > 26 so never experienced the fail that was 25.

Yup, if I return to the survey link it says thanks for your survey completion yadayada but I checked last night and I was still on 25 :(

Did you have to manually reboot your superhub?

YESSSS! R26 has fixed the issue :D

Also got a n early upload rate increase :d

People had to complain like mofos though to get the fix, looking at the forum they released R25 in a hurry ignoring the beta tester's comments on stability and downloading files being dodgy.
