1st SP2 with the annoying security center, now msn is killing me,
I've searched through every option i can find on msn live! yet can't find a way to allow some files, i can't accept any .exe files from mates (wont even start dling) and .mp3's are being blocked now after the tranfer as ''potentially unsafe'', I mean what the ****, mp3's aren't unsafe imo and i have AV anyway.
What can i do to let msn stop whining about transfers, i know they're safe and i trust them, i have AV, and i'm tired of requesting people to rar all their files, i just want to receive all files without msn or windows security whining about it.

Also how do i disable iexplroer 7 security, it ****** me off I have to confirm every download, ive set security to ''normall'' for global (lowest global setting it will do  ) and pretty much all sites i often go on are trusted sites now, but it's still whining about downloading files and activex junk and scrips, how can i disable this stupid noob protection method for all sites, I know nod32 protects me from virusses/torjans anyway on untrusted sites, i dont need the **** microsoft offers to increase security, i just want to be able to browse like a normall person without having confirm every script and download.

Sorry for my poor language, but really p****d off @ microsoft as it's annoying me every day.

So for the lazy guys:
1: How can i let msn live! accept all files no matter the format
2: How can i get rid of iexplorer 7 security junk? (and pls dont awnser with use firefox as i prefer the iexplorer 7 options & interface)

use firefox? :)

edit: sorry couldn't resist;)

try downloading the windows virus thing on the WLM Options page rather then a 3rd party one. else just get your mates to rename files to a *.doc extension?

Tools > Options > File Transfer

Untick "Automatically reject file transfers for known unsafe file types"

It is unticked, if its ticked it even blocks .rar's, with it disabled it still blocks .exe's though and .mp3's, besicly i ask people to .rar everythign and it works that way, but still bloody annoying though, tryign to get rid of that.

Its purposely made that way, viruses are usually always a form of exe, and mp3's are usually illegally downloaded music, so its MS trying to be Big Brother.

As mentioned, rename the file, example.exe to example.txt then rename it after the transfer.
