It doesn't look as bad in real-life as it does in pictures, which is a good thing ;)
Comparing it to my old Saitek GM3200 it seems better built, which is unexpected seeing as it's more expensive. The DPI switches aren't as well built, as there's 3 buttons on the top (first for 2000DPI, second for 800 and third for 400) whereas on the Saitek mouse there's a little switch to browse through the DPI settings.
The LCD screen is a bit of a gimmick really, there's no real need for it because all it seems to do is display the DPI you're using, which is lit up on the top of the mouse itself.
Having the back/forward buttons on top of each other isn't bad at all; it takes about a second to get used to.
The mouse glides well, although changing the glides is a bit more fiddly than I think it should be.
The mouse also came with a "mouse anchor" which is basically a weighted box to "eliminate cable drag" and is used to store the glides and weights. The slide-out tray for weights is a nice idea, but it doesn't really need to be because generally people will use it a whole once in the mouse's lifetime.
The overall size of it is just right, and it seems to have a quite comfy grip. The scroll button is made of metal and is nice and grippy, although it tries to trap your skin towards the base of it.

Will just have to thoroughly get used to using it before making a decision on which is a better mouse, my old Saitek GM3200 or this Microsoft Sidewinder.
