Do students get a discount on MS products?

And, is it true that employees of Microsoft get things like office for £15?!
Yes and I am not sure about the second one. I am sure they get a discount, how much though I am not sure.

Also, if your a Student at a participating University, you can sometimes get most Microsoft software for free through the Microsoft Student Academic Alliance (MSAA).

Yes while I was at Lionhead the showed me that they could, it comes straight out of their pay packet... and they are allowed I think its 3 per month of any software...

From what I got told, MS employees have access to most of their products for free if it's for home or work use.

Burnsy

indeed. i can't imagine them having to pay for it. maybe they can get it cheap for family memebers? :)

I don't think student's generally get any special discount on any Microsoft products. There always used to be Office Student edition - but it's now just a home edition and anyone's allowed to use it.

If you are doing a computer science or engineering course (or something similar to this) your department might well be a member of MSDNAA which gives you free access to quite a range of products including Windows and Visual Studio, but not including most of Office.
