Hoy guys!

I am having a problem with my XBOX 360 Elite console.. it has been freezing in all games, and after spending hours online with MS tech support, I have come to the conclusion that it is not well.

So, I took the trip and used the online repair facility.

This was completed fairly painlessly. Great, thinks I. However i got this thought in the back of my mind that it was "too easy".

Any of you got expierences with sending an xbox back under warranty to MS? Good/bad? What can I expect, to be shafted?

I think it's pretty reliable from what I've heard, I've never used them myself but I know a whole host who have. The times of getting your 360 back however seems to be very random.

Microsoft's repair service is actually extremely good. You have nothing to worry about really, apart from as andybtsn has said, the return times can vary a little but I wouldn't expect any longer than about 10-14 days.

"Good things come to those who wait!"
"Good things come to those who wait!"
"Good things come to those who wait!"

If I repeat that enough, I'll be happy!

Seriously, though.. it's good to hear that I have got nothing to worry about. Can't wait to start some gaming again on the 'box!

Cheers all!

It's almost as good as Sony's.... Microsoft make you wait... whereas Sony will exchange it at your door step :)

It would be interesting if sony had to deal with as many failed consoles as MS has how they would deal with it, I think with the big numbers MS has done very well.

I know when they did the recall for PS2 on launch there service was very poor I had a nightmare time trying to get it replaced.

I had no problem when mine RROD'd. Took about 10 days to come back with a month's worth of Live!
