Microsoft's Surface Book is its first (and 'ultimate') laptop

Thought this warranted its own discreet thread to avoid clashing with the Surface 'tablets'. The new Surface book sounds like an amazing device and I'm totally sold on the form factor if it works as slickly as promised!

Yeah, it really does look like a genuine have you cake and eat it do it all device! A light A4 sized touchscreen tablet that transforms into a high powered laptop with a physical keyboard when using the dock complete with class leading 12 hour battery life.

It sounds perfect...other than the price being pretty steep! If it works as well as shown in the demo I think Microsoft might finally have a product that gives people a compelling reason to replace their old laptops and ditch their separate tablets.
