Tempted to pick up one of these second hand.

Really miss my Fold 4 but very wary about the durability of folding screens. Mine failed a month after I sold it, just out of warranty. Friends that have had them also had problems after the warranty period.

Any experience of these? I hear they were ooor at first but software updates turned them into a decent machine.

i had one for a year as a test, the software update worked really well, however the hinges, although good, cracked the screen on mine (and i am really careful with stuff)... a friend has the fold4 or 5 and its much better imo... i think you could be disappointed

That’s a shame. I hoped the twin screen arrangement would mean a big increase in durability. I loved my Fold 4 but wouldn’t trust one to last.

yer sorry to be the bearer of bad news, I wouldnt have another duo, however I would like a good foldable and in the market but nothing is ticking all the boxes.

Forgot I started this thread. Got one recently and love it. And boy does it get questions from friends when I use it :)

Different ends of the spectrum eh? When I'm enjoying my Duo I'm always thinking ".....for £150 this is great."

Don't get me wrong, my Fold 4 was an incredible device. But I was so worried about failure.

After a period of using my Samsung and Unihertz Titan 2, I'm back using my Surface Duo. I'm reminded what a lovely device it is.

When I'm using it for work, it's brilliant. Not in and out all the time, either away and not required or out for the duration of my break. So perfect for smart watch pairing. Using the watch as a second screen and control just like with a normal phone... It's just that this phone benefits even more from it :)
