Microsoft's latest bid to win back the education and consumer tablet sector from Apple.

Looks interesting but I fear it's still too expensive to tempt people away from their iDevices. Especially as by the time you buy it in 8gb/128gb and add a keyboard cover you're approaching £650!

Still, specs seem decent and being Microsoft the fit/finish will likely be a cut above other OEMs

Windows simply doesn't work Well as a tablet.
Apps just aren' t there

That's kind of the key issue Microsoft has in that however good they make the device and no matter how keenly they price it the reality is nobody wants a Windows tablet because there aren't anywhere near enough touch screen apps on the platform available in the windows store.
