Microsoft Teams - High Memory Usage

Given Skype for Business is going the way of the dodo, we're moving over to Teams as i imagine many places are.

However it's using up huge amounts of memory which is having a knock on effect when having open pretty big spreadsheets. Especially when Google is often using up ~1gb memory also.



My colleagues instance of teams who has the exact same laptop, only uses around 70mb with many more "active" chats open.

I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling but that's not changing anything.

Anyone have any idea why it's using up so many resources?

Only other option is to try and arrange to upgrade to ram as i've only got 8gb.

I just opened Teams. It started at 527MB, then dropped steadily over 5 minutes to 440MB.

I'd be more worried about Box using 19% of your CPU if I were you

Cheers, least i know it's inline with others then, given the fact my colleagues version of teams only uses ~80mb i thought i might've had problems.

Looking now Box is only on 1% so presumably it was just doing some syncing in the background. Although you'd think an 8th gen I7 would use less than 19% just to sync some files!
