Microsoft Technet, What is it?

hi everyone.

i just emailed teacher about if they supply vista and they said n oas they haven't got it yet, but i was suggested to take a look at technet. I have but im reeally lost what it is.

before making the thread i searched and saw some people say they got vista ultimate for free from technet.

So can someone explain to me what technet is and how i can use it. Im not at the college yet but will be in september

Just make sure you read all of the license agreement with Technet.
90% of people using Technet versions of Vista are doing so outside of the license agreement.

Technet versions of vista are the same as the 'licence benefits' versions are they not?
