I like it too, I have to say that I dont understand the "its trying to be like osx" argument, because its nothing like it! curvy corners doesn't equal it being like osx, i see no more similarities really, people will always compare though, thats just how it is.

Yep. Its still clearly not finished but fair play to them.

I really cant see myself installing this any time soon.

Windows 10 is perfect and even gaming wise there's still no real reason to switch.. right?

I had no real reason to switch but wanted to try it because I'm curious. Few little foibles so far but I like the new direction

Not trying to be osx in a literal copycat sense, but in a trying to offer eye candy in a way that Apple have always done (and have always done better)

If you actually like Windows 10/find it suited to your needs then Windows 11 does offer some advantages - they've somewhat decluttered/improved things like file explorer but in many respects it is still Windows 10 with a few extra software incompatibilities.

I'm kind of sad to see they've not taken the design language of the new aesthetic to heart and worked it into all areas of the OS and spent some more time on the basic quality of life things as that is what the OS is needing the most IMO and the new aesthetic in concept is what a modern Windows should be - in practise they've just slapped it in not really understanding what they are working with :(

Thought I would take the opportunity of a new nVME OS drive to complete clean install and jump to trying windows 11. It seems OK so far. What a faff though trying to sort out changing HDD's to GPT in order to meet the requirements though. I can see it causing a lot of issues for average joe bloggs.
