First 7 days of getting this keyboard and mouse set it was superb now the mouse stutters every so often and sometimes lags. I thought it could be my wireless network so i changed channels a few times still stutters, changed usb slots still stutters and also changed batteries. Its driving me nuts. Im thinking of taking this back on saturday. Unless someone got a clue why its doing it.

I have a wireless 3000 keyboard. I had the lag issue, try plugging the receiver in the front of the case usb port and see if that resolves the issue, it worked for me.

I am planning to buy the Microsoft Wireless comfort desktop 5000 soon but wonder if the mouse is similar to 3000? i.e. blue track?

How's the keyboard? Any problem?

Ended up buying Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 3000 (without mouse) for £24.95 while sticking to my trusted Logitec LX8 wireless mouse. No conflict whatsoever as the keyboard operates at 2.4 Ghz and the mouse at 2 Ghz.

Decided not to go with any of the Microsoft Wireless mouse (blue track) package because of the poor feedbacks from some users on the web with mouse lagging issues.

So far the MS Wireless keyboard 3000 is doing alright but it's early days so let's see. Oh ya when typing you will get occasional squeak on some keys.

I've been using the keyboard for about 4 months, I find its ideal for gaming (not hardcore) - work and running media. I did have the lag problem as mentioned above but its about where you put the reciever, if its in the back usb port under your table then it may give you problems.

Its sorted now i used a usb cable and let it rest on my desktop. shame the receiver is pants.

i had the mouse on it's own.
started off great, brilliant in fact.

now i'm back to wired, got a coolermaster CM Storm sentinal, beast of a mouse, love it.

wired wins.
