hi i noticed that ocuk are selling the Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Controller (XP/Vista Compatible). but i wanted to know does the Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite Wireless Controller work the same as the Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Controller and can the drivers from MS be used so i can use the Controller on me pc?

thanks for any help.

1 saying no, 1 saying yes lol

that helps :)

so its just the receiver that's gonna stop me from using it. as it don't come with the
controller.

Ah maybe I'm wrong, I can remember trying it a year ago and in the end resorted to buying actual PC 360 pads. Apologies.

I tried the wired xbox controller a while ago, before the PC one came out, and it didn't work.

Need to try it again, but the wired PC controller does work with the xbox.

both the wired and wireless pads work. if you want to use your existing wireless pad, you'd have to be the firewotsit or whatever its called adaptor for it to work, otherwise you can by the pad and the adaptor together. i see no reason why the elite controller would be any different:)

thanks guys :)

just what i wanted to here.

im gonna get the wireless controller from ocuk
and lend my m8s elite pad just to see if it works

I use an xbox 360 Guitar Hero 3 controller in my PC and it works just fine, and as far as a I know, they are the exact same thing pretty much, in just a different shape?

The Wireless Controllor works fine as long as you have the reciever and the wired one works as long as you have the Drivers. XP needs them downloaded but Vista comes with them built in.
