Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver (Win7)

I am trying to install this device on Win 7 64 bit but not having any luck at all with the drivers.

I installed the software, (the updated version via Microsofts website) but when I plug the USB lead in it just says no driver found. I tried to install the driver manually via control panel and select the file it's in but same problem.

Anybody else bought this for Win 7 and got it running?
It's supposed to be compatible.

I have one of these devices I use it on win7 64bit for my xbox headset , installation was easy

If it's an eBay special you'll need to force the driver install as they are all fakes but should still work. (Better than the official ones usually.)

if it's an ebay special you need to install the driver then edit the Xusb21.inf file

I found this out when i had the same problem.
i can't remember what changes had to be made but i saved a copy of the edited .inf so if you want a copy i'll send you it.
