(I am not sure where I should post this)

I have try 3 mic's on the computers and none off them will work.
I plug them in but nothing will happen and I have try 3 mic's.

What OS are you running, onboad sound or sound card etc?

Are you plugging them into the front ports or directly into the sound card?

Yes, It on vista so not that use to it but I am sure it is not on mute

Bump.

Yesterday the mic worked but again today it will not work again at all.
Do any one know what is wrong with the sound card or what ever

Just want clarification here, when you say the mic isnt working, does that mean you are not able to hear whatever sound you are playing through your speakers, or is it that if you are not able to actually record.

There have been many mic issues with Vista,and thus many different solutions, and due to the variety of drivers, you do find that two users with exactly same problem may not require the exact same solution, and I dont want to make an assumption about your problem, so that we can try and minimise the number of solutions that we go through to try and resolve this

Well I plug in the mic but when I talk in it it will not work.
I have try it in CS:S and it still will not work.
